⇒ Email or WhatsApp confirmation must be sent to us prior to the confirmation of the trip
⇒ Booking canceled 3 days prior to departure will be fully refunded
⇒ Booking canceled in less than 3 days will not be refunded however you can replace someone
⇒ You may form a group and let us know if you wish to have private friends tour, otherwise, it will be mixed age groups with strangers
⇒ You must follow our instruction to keep you safe, sound and healthy always

Day 01: Start the journey from Thimphu to Bumthang
Start the most scenic drive to Bumthang from Thimphu over dochula pass. After the break at Dochula, the road descends into Wangdue and Punakha taking us to one of the warmest places of Bhutan. Dochula Pass- The pass is at a popular location as it offers a stunning 180-degree panoramic view of the Great Himalayan mountain ranges. The view is especially scenic and very clear on winter days with snowcapped mountains forming a majestic backdrop to the tranquility of the 108 chortens gracing the mountain pass. The drive through the newly constructed road is quite smooth however some of the stretches are still under maintenance. The drive will pass through abundant natural beauty, spectacular landscapes, rich flora and fauna, breathtaking hills and snowcapped mountains, and iconic Buddhist monasteries. Trongsa Dzong- This is the largest Dzong (fortress) in Bhutan, located in the center of the country. The Dzong is beautifully built on a spur overlooking the gorge of the Mangde Chhu River. The Dzong played a very crucial role in ancient history in protecting Bhutan and its sovereignty. The ruler of Trongsa Dzong was the most powerful leader to form the Wangchuck Dynasty in the Kingdom of Bhutan. Trongsa Ta Dzong (Museum)- The watchtower was built in 1652 by the first Governor of Trongsa. This was built to oversee and safeguard the Trongsa Dzong from any invading forces. Today it houses the Royal Heritage museum. The displays in the museum focused on Buddhist art and Royal memorabilia. Yotongla Pass at 3400m- The pass divides Trongsa and Bumthang districts. This is one of the highest motor-able roads passes at the height of 3460m. The pass is covered with mist and prayer flags most of the time. It is worth a stop for photo break. The evening explores chamkhar town on foot and tries some local pancakes and noodles. Overnight in Bumthang, altitude 2600m.
Day 02: Bumthang Sightseeing
Bumthang is the religious heartland of the nation and home to some of its oldest Buddhist temples and monasteries. It is famous for its brightly colored distinctive woolen item called Yathra and district formed by four valleys. Visit white bird fortress, Jakar Dzong- Dominates the Chamkhar valley and overlooks the town, 3km 1.2 miles away from Chamkhar town. Jampay Lhakhang- One of the oldest temples built in the country. This is the home of the naked dance that is still performed annually. It is believed that the temple is built in the 7th century by Songtsen Gonpo of Tibet. Kurjey Lhakhang- The site where Guru Padmasambhava left the body imprint on the rock behind the temple. Visit for its artistic works and amazing structure. Kharchu Dratsang Monastery- This is an amazing experience to see monks chanting the mantras. The monastery has become part of an extensive effort to preserve and revitalize Bhutanese culture and heritage. Tamzing Lhakhang- Tamshing Lhakhang, founded in 1501 by Pema Lingpa, contains paintings of fundamental interest for the history of painting in this region. Is also one of the oldest temples in the valley. Swiss Cheese Farm & Red Panda Brewery- The Swiss Farm is established by Mr. Fritz Maurer. The project introduced brewing, farming machinery, and fuel-efficient, smokeless wood stoves to the valley, as well as its first tourist guest house in Bumthang. Swiss cheese and Bhutan's only native beer, Red Panda, is brewed here. Overnight in Bumthang.
Day 03: Bumthang to Mongar
Today drive takes you through Thrumshingla, the highest road pass in the country at 3900m making this the most spectacular drives in the country, descending 3200m just in a distance of 84 km. En-route visit Menbar Tsho (Burning Lake)- The most sacred lake of the country and is believed to be a wish-fulfilling lake, one must visit while in Bumthang. Ura Valley, made of a cluster of large stone houses. Overnight at Mongar, altitude 1800m.
Day 04: Lhuntse Excursion
Make an excursion to the north and visit the province of Lhuntshe, the ancestral home of Bhutan’s royal family. Takila Guru Statue- The world's largest statue Of Guru Padmasambhava, with the total height of 173 feet, stands imposingly on the Takila mountain slope, which is one of the most beautiful scenic spots in Lhuntse district, overlooking the entire valley of Tangmachu. Lhuntse Dzong- It was constructed in 1654 by the Trongsa Penlop, Chogyal Minjur Tempa upon the site of an older temple built by Nagi Wangchuk in 1552. This region is famous for its bamboo basket and silk brocade dress. Overnight at Mongar.
Day 05: Mongar to Trashigang
After the leisure breakfast drive towards Trashigang. Trashigang sightseeing includes visit the Radi Villages- It is often known as the ‘Rice Bowl of the East’ because of its verdant rice fields that supply most of the grain to eastern parts of the country. En-route we will stop to visit Trashigang Dzong- The Dzong was built by 3rd Druk Desi, Chogyal MinjurTempa in 1669 as per the wish made by Zhabdrung before he went into retreat in 1652. Chogyal Minjur Tempa ruled the country from 1667 to 1680 and died in 1691. The Dzong was built on commanding hilltop overlooking Drangme Chhu to defend Tibetans invader in 17 century. Today it houses the office of the district administrative officer and the district monk body. Overnight in Trashigang, altitude 1400m.
Day 06: Trashi Yangtse Excursion
After our leisurely breakfast, we will drive to Tashi Yangtse. En-route, we will visit the famous Gomphu Kora: A unique festival of the east is performed in this temple annually in spring. People from as far as Arunachal Pradesh and around the country gather to witness the festival. Few kilometers away from the temple will come across a place called Dugsum where we use to see an iron chain bridge built by Dupthop Thongthong Gyelpo in the 15th century. It is believed that he built 108 bridges across Bhutan. He is quite famous in the Paro region as well. On arrival in Trashi Yangtse, we will check in to our hotel, and later we will explore the tiny town of Trashi Yangtse. Meeting with experts from eastern wooden products. Trashi Yangtse district is the only region famous with such kinds of wooden products in the country. We will walk to Chorten Kora, offering our best wishes and prayers for all the sentient beings. Later we retrace the drive back to Trashi Gang.
Day 07: Trashi Gang to Samdrup Jongkhar
Drive pass by the first Bhutanese college: Sherubtse College is one of the oldest and largest colleges in the Royal University of Bhutan. The college was established as a Public School in 1968 and became a Junior College in 1976. It became a constituent college of the Royal University of Bhutan in 2003. En route, stop to visit the Government Handloom Factory- One can visit this handloom and learn & experiences the weaving culture of eastern Bhutan. Evening- relax in your hotel. Overnight at Samdrup Jongkhar, altitude 180m.
Day 08: Samdrup Jongkhar to Thimphu
End of the tour & services. Retrace the drive towards Thimphu which marks the end of the trip.
