My King is an example to the rest of the world and powerful countries – scopes of learning from my Kings. My King has ocean full of farsighted wisdom, caring and compassionate heart and makes every Bhutanese so proud and always happy Bhutanese. Tears roll down from my eyes when I see my Kings who take care of us more than our own sons and daughters, these are some of the few things which makes my country unique and My King the only Living God. What is Druk Gyalpo’s Relief Kidu?
The Druk Gyalpo’s Relief Kidu was launched on 14 April 2020 to provide income support to affected individuals. The Relief Kidu has provided immediate relief to many thousands Bhutanese individuals who had lost their livelihoods either partially or completely because of the coronavirus pandemic. The individuals also received additional child support Kidu for over 12,800 children.

Beneficiaries of Royal Kidu
Bhutanese who have been displaced by the coronavirus pandemic and are currently residing in Bhutan are eligible for the Druk Gyalpo’s Relief Kidu. The displaced group includes those who have been laid off, placed on unpaid leave or on reduced pay from businesses as well as self-employed individuals who have lost their earnings either partially or completely. Kidu beneficiaries are encouraged to actively look for work or continue to work if already employed.

People from Tourism Sector
Starting 6^th March, 2020, the entire tourism industry in Bhutan came into halt with zero income and is most affected sectors by corona virus. Many support system and schemes announced by Royal Government of Bhutan to engage those affected had become lifeline to many people. Most of the groups are into agriculture sectors followed by constructions and other business. As we depend on tourism for the livelihood, we hope to revive tourism in Bhutan soon.
